Schiller International University MBA program courses involve theoretical and practical applications strategic decision-making, teamwork and group mobilisation, understanding diverse interdependent environmental forces, and incorporating ethical standards into business decisions. This program may be completed in one year during two semesters and one summer on a full time basis. Working professionals can earn this degree on a part-time basis in the evenings and weekends in two to four years. Students for the MBA degree must satisfy the general admissions requirements for the MBA. To be admitted into the MBA program students must hold the BBA degree (or its equivalent) or have completed prerequisite core courses in the following six areas: Management, marketing, Accounting, Business Law, Economics, and Statistics. Students with a Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent), but without these prerequisites may be admitted to the MBA Preparatory Program, successful completion of which guarantees acceptance into the MBA program itself. The MBA programs that are available through Schiller include: MBA in International Business The MBA in International Business builds upon previous studies in international marketing, management, finance and economics and relates these studies to real-world international management situations via case studies, business and computer simulations, research projects and class discussions of current global issues. The program is available at the Florida, London, Paris, Heidelberg, Madrid, and Leysin campuses. It is also offered at the Strasbourg campus for part-time students International Relations Specialisation: It has become ever more important that business men and women who wish to operate in the expanding global environment acquire skills of political and social analysis to assist their business decision making. For this reason, MBA candidates are given the opportunity to elect an International Relations specialisation by completing three additional courses in that field, in addition to the fifteen courses required for the MBA degree. Available in London and Paris MBA in International Hotel and Tourism Management : The Master of Business Administration degree in International Hotel and Tourism Management embraces much of the basic content of Schiller's MBA in International Business and goes on to focus on a core of courses specific to the area of International Hotel and Tourism Management. The MBA in International Hotel and Tourism Management provides the credential to enter into this dynamic industry directly at a management level. The program can be completed in two semesters and a summer of full time study or working professional can also earn this degree on a part-time basis. MBA in Management of Information Technology: This specialised MBA program is designed to meet the emerging market demand for IT management professionals.
