University College Northampton
About the Programme
The Nottingham University Business School offers one of the largest choices of MBA programmes in the UK with seven AMBA accredited MBAs.
All our MBA programmes consist of a set of core subjects, a menu of optional courses, and a management project. The core subjects ensure that all students study key areas of management. The optional subjects and the business project allow a student to build on these core areas and tailor-make his or her own version of the University of Nottingham MBA.
For the full-time programme, students follow a 12-month course of full-time study. The programmes consist of seven core modules which are compulsory for all candidates, five elective modules, (between two and three for the Risk and Insurance Management MBA, MBA Entrepreneurship and MBA Corporate Social Responsibility). Each module is normally examined by assessed course work and/or a two hour written examination held after the end of the relevant semester. The list of available modules may be modified from time to time. Students may select up to two electives from the modules of other MBA programmes.
Students must also undertake a group consultancy project with an individual management report, with opportunities to apply for internship placements. In addition, all candidates are required to participate in a management and interpersonal skills programme.
A fundamental part of your development is participation in group work. Working with talented peers from many different professional and cultural backgrounds, and close interaction with the academic staff, accelerates learning and management development far more than is possible on purely distance learning programmes.
Our programmes are designed to provide the means for accelerating progression and promotion, as well as for strategic direction changes in your career path. We can provide you with a stimulating, challenging and continuously improving programme where we will strive to provide the very best learning environment. We are confident that the very high quality of your fellow students will also provide an excellent contribution to your programme.
