Job description

The Technical Marketing Engineer will play a significant role in enabling field success for this product through:
Field enablement through technical marketing deliverables and training to direct and partner channels
Channel / Customer advocacy towards back-end organizations
R&D advocacy towards channels
Liaisoning R&D, regional Marketing Centers, Support orgs, Channel Effectiveness functions
This position provides significant opportunities for direct field and customer interaction, building domain knowledge, and some amount of travel for training and software conference purposes.

Responsibilities:
Technical Partner & Key Stake Holder Identified Contact: Oversee all partner (C&I, SI, Support implementation partner, MC, R&D) aspects for the product within the technical value chain.
Represent customers / partners in the development lifecycle, ensuring that implementation / configuration/ usability concerns are fully addressed.
Develop solution specific training strategies (in line with overall HP channels training strategy) and oversee the development of training content for appropriate partner and channels for all software solutions. Deliver appropriate channel trainings by applying the T-T-T concept. Specific materials include:
o Field Enablement Planning
o Support Matrix & Planning
o Technical Sales Guides & Technical Whitepapers
o Live Demonstration (demos) enablement packages
o Classroom & web-based training Development & Delivery
o Other field support activities (remote or onsite customer calls, partner calls, etc.)
Proactively develop materials to reduce the call load placed upon the value delivery chain and optimize time and number of incoming calls along the chains.
Monitor customer/ partner/ business escalations to gather a complete customer (account) picture.
Drive the E-Support (Electronic Service) agenda with providing content from enterprise perspectives.
Provide pre-sales technical support collateral (backup functions) and assistance to OpenView sales channels.
