Eligibility Criteria:
   
 01. Junior Software Engineer(JSE):( Scale Rs. 5500-9000)-Vacancy initially at Port Blair.
  Eligibility: Three Years Diploma Course in Computer Science & Engg or Computer Engg. or Computers or Bachelor of Computer Application(BCA)-Three Years . Those appearing in Final year examination in the first half of 2007 are also eligible.
02. Junior Network Engineer(JNE) ( Scale: Rs. 5500-9000) Vacancies initially at Port Blair only.
Eligibility:Three years Diploma Course in Electronics & Communication or Electronics & Telecommunication, or Computer Science & Engg. OR Computers . Those appearing in Final year examination in the first half of 2007 are also eligible.

03. Assistant Software Engineer(ASE)( Scale Rs. 6500-10500)
Eligibility: BE/B.Tech/ M.Tech/ ME in Computer Science & Engg OR Computers, OR Computer Engineering or Computer Technology, or Information Technology or Computer Science & Information Technology or MCA or B.Sc.(Computer Science & Engineering-4 year Degree Course). Those appearing in Final year examination in the first half of 2007 are also eligible

04. Assistant Network Engineer(ANE)( Scale Rs. 6500-10500)
Eligibility: BE/B.Tech/ M.Tech/ ME in Electronics or Electronics & Communication, OR Electronics & Telecommunication, OR Computer Science & Engg OR Computers, OR Computer Engineering or Computer Technology, or Information Technology or Computer Science & Information Technology or B.Sc.(Computer Science & Engineering-4 year Degree Course). Those appearing in Final year examination in the first half of 2007 are also eligible.
Vacancy:Vacancies for the posts at item 1 & 2 above i.e Junior Software Engineer and Junior Network Engineer exist at Port Blair initially for a minimum period of one year which may be extended depending upon the requirement . After that period they may be posted to other Centres of CRIS i.e. at Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Secunderabad, Bhubaneswar and Patna.

Vacancies for the posts at item 3 & 4 above i.e. posts of Assistant Software Engineer and Assistant Network Engineer exist at Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Secunderabad, Bhubaneswar and Patna.
SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR THE POSTS:

Written test of the eligible candidates will be conducted followed by interview of the successful candidates in the written examination. Choice of Centre of written examination will be Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Secunderabad and Port Blair. The Centre of examination will be decided based on the number of candidates opting for each centre. Date and Centre of the examination will be advised separately.
Fees :Demand draft of Rs. 500/- for General Category , and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/OBC candidates drawn in favour of C.R.I.S. payable at Delhi.
 Submission of Demand Draft & other Documents :
After online registration, Demand Draft and other documents i.e. attested copies of educational qualifications, experience certificate (if any)and caste may be sent by ordinary post to P O Box No.2282, Chanakyapuri Post Office, New Delhi 110021, so as to reach latest  by 8 JAN 2007.
How to Apply :

   1. Fill your details in the Online Application Form available here. However you should have made your Demand Draft before applying. 
   2. Check All your Details and get a printed copy of your Registration Slip which is generated online.  
   3. After online registration send the Demand Draft, Educational and Caste Certificates along with a copy of Registration Slip to Post Box No. 2282, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi-110021, so as to reach latest by 8th JAN 2007th Also keep a copy of Registration Slip with yourself for future reference.

   4. If a candidate wants to apply for more than one post, he/she should apply separately for each post along with the requisite fees. Online Form will be available only between 22 NOV 2006 and 22 DEC 2006 However you can reprint your registration slip till 8th JAN 2007th.

General Information :

   1. The appointment is on contract basis initially for a period of five years, including one year probation. The appointment is likely to continue further based on the performance/ requirement. 
   2. The reservation policy will apply as per Govt. of India rules. 
   3. The educational qualifications mentioned in the eligibility criteria should be duly recognized.
