HPCL Requires - OPERATIONS/MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS, LAB ANALYST, JR. FIRE & SAFETY INSPECTORS, MALE NURSE, JR. SECRETARIAL / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS AND HINDI TRANSLATOR CUM TYPIS.

01: Operations Technician - 102(GEN- 50, SC– 22, ST- 11, OBC- 19) - First Class Diploma in Chemical Engineering [OR] First Class B.Sc. (Maths, Physics & Chemistry) with 60% marks in Chemistry

02: Operations Technician - 13(GEN- 10, SC- 2, OBC- 1)     First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

03: Operations Technician-Power Zone - 28(GEN- 20, SC- 4, ST- 3, OBC- 1] - First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering [AND] First Class Boiler Attendant Competency Certificate

04: Maintenance Technician - Electrical - 7(GEN- 4, SC- 1, ST- 1, OBC - 1) - First Class Diploma in Electrical Engineering [OR]   First Class Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engg.

05: Maintenance Technician - Instrumentation - 3(GEN- 2, OBC- 1) - First Class Diploma in Instrumentation & Control [OR] First Class Diploma In Electronics & Instrumentation [OR] First Class Diploma In Electronics & Communication [OR] First Class Diploma in Industrial Electronics & Instrumentation   [OR] First Class B.Sc (MPC Or Electronics) with long term course of 48 weeks in "Process Instrumentation" from ATI, HYDERABAD.

06: Maintenance Technician – (Garage) - 2(GEN- 1, SC- 1] - First Class Diploma in Automobile Engineering [OR] First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

07: Maintenance Technician – (Heavy Vehicle / Equipment / Crane Operator - 6(GEN- 3, SC- 1, OBC- 2] - SSC (10th Class) Pass with Valid HGV Licence.

08: Maintenance Technician – General Fitter - 11(GEN- 6, SC- 1, ST- 1, OBC- 3] - First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engg.

09: Maintenance Technician – Field Machinist- 7(GEN- 3, SC- 1, ST- 1, OBC- 2] - First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engg.

10: Lab Analyst - 32(GEN- 17, SC- 5, ST- 2, OBC- 8] - First Class B.Sc. (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) with 60% marks in Chemistry.

11: Jr. Fire & Safety Inspector- 7(GEN- 5, SC- 1, OBC- 1]- Intermediate (Science Group) pass class with valid LMV Licence. [OR] SSC (10th class) pass with valid HMV Licence.

12: Male Nurse - 1(OBC - 1]- Intermediate Pass Class [AND] Diploma in General Nursing (3 years course).

13: Jr. Secretarial Assistant -4(1 for PWD-OH)(GEN- 2, ST- 1] - First Class in B.A, B.Com, B.Sc with Shorthand (100 w.p.m.) intermediate and Typewriting higher in English. Knowledge of Hindi Stenography / Typing is desirable at the time of appointment and essential for confirmation.

14: Jr. Administrative Assistant - 14(1 for PWD-HH)(GEN- 7, SC- 2, OBC- 3,ST-1]     First Class in B.A./ B.Com / B.Sc. with Typewriting Lower Grade in English.

15: Hindi Translator cum Typist - 1(OBC- 1] - First Class Graduate in any discipline with Hindi as First / Second language[AND] English as subsidiary [AND] Typewriting speed of minimum 25 w.p.m in Hindi and 30 w.p.m in English [AND] Minimum one year relevant experience in translation from Hindi to English and English to Hindi in an Organization of repute.

Maximum Age Limit   :   25 years (as on 01/09/2008).

One Position (1) of Jr. Secretarial Assistant is reserved for PWD (Orthopaedically Handicapped) and One Position (1) of Jr. Administrative Assistant is reserved for PWD (Hearing Handicapped).

Selection Process : Written Test/Skill Test/Interview

Candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria as mentioned above will be eligible for appearing for the written test (objective type consisting of General Aptitude and Academic Knowledge) and Skill Test. The candidates will be called for the Personal Interview in order of their merit in the Written Test / Skill Test as per the Policy of the Corporation. The final selection will be made from amongst the candidates who have qualified in the written test / skill test and interview on merit subject to medical fitness. Reference for a medical examination does not mean final selection, which may please be noted.

The final selection / Offer of Employment will be based on the overall Merit ranking and being found Medically Fit subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria with respect to Academic Qualification, Age, Caste, No Objection Certificate / Relieving Letter from present employer etc., as may be applicable.

All the candidates are requested to remain updated on Helpline / SMS services for the Written Test and Interview date and Venue etc., by visiting HPCL website.

The Written Test will be conducted at 6 Centers: Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai. However, HPCL reserves the right to cancel or add any center depending on the response in that area / center.

Concessions / Relaxations   :

Reservation of posts for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PWD (degree of disability 40% above) and Ex-Servicemen shall be as per Presidential Directives / Govt. Guidelines
Age relaxation by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD candidates.
Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen shall be as per applicable Rules.
Pass Class for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen category.

Reimbursement of 2nd class rail fare by the shortest route to examination centre for outstation SC/ST /PWD candidates appearing for written test, shall be made, provided the distance travelled is not less than 30 kms (candidates opting for examination centre other than the centre nearest from mailing address will not be paid T.A.).

SCALE OF PAY & ALLOWANCES:

Scale of Pay Rs.4225/- to Rs.10,400/- Starting emoluments inclusive of Basic, VDA, HRA, Transport Reimbursement will be Rs.8500/- per month (approx.). Additionally, employees are also entitled to other benefits such as Bonus/Production Incentive/LFA/LTC, Housing Loan, Vehicle Loan, Medical Facility, Gratuity, Superannuation Benefit, Children Education Allowance, Subsidized Breakfast/Lunch facility etc., as per Corporation’s Policy. The wage revision is due w.e.f 01-07-2007
