Job Description ADVERTISEMENT NO.1/2009-R-III
APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR THE POST OF ASSTT. SECURITY OFFICER (A) FROM THE CANDIDATES FULFILLING THE ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS THEREOF:-

ASSISTANT SECURITY OFFICER (A)
Pay scale: PAY BAND – 2 :- Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs.4200/- DA, HRA & Transport Allowance as admissible under Central Government rules.
NUMBER OF EXISTING/ ANTICIPATED VACANCIES: 44 (Reservations: SC – 02, ST – 04, OBC – 14, Unreserved – 24)
Age: Upto 27 years as on 01/07/2009.
Relaxable for Government Servants upto 35 years in accordance with the instructions / orders issued by the Central Government. Maximum age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC / ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates. Maximum age limit for Ex-servicemen and persons with Police and Paramilitary backgrounds is 30 years (after deducting the period of service from the actual age). Ex-servicemen and ex-Constables shall be eligible to apply only within three years of discharge or retirement from Armed Forces or Police. Upper age limit is also relaxable upto 40 years in case of Central Government servants and 45 years in case of Scheduled Caste/Schedules Tribes and 43 years for OBC
Central Government servants.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
(a) Qualification: Direct Recruits :-
Graduate from a recognized University. For Ex-Servicemen, Ex-Police and Ex-Central Para – Military Personnel :-
Graduate from a recognized University or equivalent.
Experience :- (for Ex-Servicemen)
Not below Junior Commissioned Officer or equivalent or having five years experience as Non-Commissioned Officer or equivalent.
(b) Minimum Height: 167 Cms.
(c) Chest: 80-85 Cms. (Relaxable for Scheduled Tribes and Hillmen as per The Screened in candidates will have to qualify in the physical test under Constituted Board as follows:

How To Apply
Apply Details 1. Application should be submitted in the proforma given below and the cover should be superscribed as “Application for the post of Assistant Security Officer (A) against Advertisement No. 1/2009-R-III”.
2. Application should preferably be type written on thick foolscap paper. (size 34 cms. X 22 cms.).
3. PHOTOGRAPHS : A recent passport size photograph should be affixed on right hand top corner of the application. One additional copy of the passport size photograph should be sent alongwith the application. The name and address of the candidate should be written on the backside of the additional photograph.
4. COPIES OF CERTIFICATES : Candidates should submit alongwith their applications attested single copy only each of certificates of : (a) Educational qualifications supported by
appropriate Mark-sheets/Certificates, (b) Date of birth, (c) SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer certificate in the prescribed proforma applicable to Central Govt. employees) / Jammu &
Kashmir residents / Proof to the effect that they have been affected by the 1984 riots(if applicable) in the appropriate proforma, (d) Experience certificate, (e) Discharge
Book/Certificate from Defence Service ( in case of Ex-servicemen) , (f) NCC ‘C’ Certificate/State Level Sports Certificate (if, in possession) 5. NOTE : a) Persons working under the Central/State Government/Public Sector Undertakings should submit their applications through proper channel. They may, however, send one advance copy of the application alongwith the enclosures as detailed above to the address given below. b) Completed applications should be sent to the Dy. Establishment Officer (R-III), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, Mumbai – 400 085, so as to reach on or before 01/07/2009.
6. WARNING : Applications which are not in conformity with the requirements indicated in the advertisement i.e. applications which are not in the prescribed form or are not accompanied by attested copies of certificates, photographs etc. are liable to be rejected. Mere fulfilling of requirements as laid down in the advertisement for applying for the post does not qualify a candidate for interview. In case the response is more, the screening of applications will be restricted with reference to relevant experience in the field. No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates not selected for interview / appointment.
