Job Description Notification No. IIA/AS/Trainee/2009 dated July 3, 2009.
The Institute offers training in Astrophysical research and instrumentation to bright young and motivated candidates.
Applications are invited for Trainee Programme-2009 from fresh candidates with the following qualifications who are highly motivated to pursue their research career.

AGE LIMIT : Below 25 years
TRAINING PERIOD : Initially for a period of One Year &
extendable for Second year
STIPEND : Rs.10000/- plus Admissible HRA

The selected candidates will generally be placed at the field stations of IIA. The trainee programme is not a regular employment and does not entitle any privileges or benefits of regular employment at the Institute. It is only a temporary study programme for imparting training. Candidates interested in applying for the above training programme should send a copy of their curriculum vitae / biodata, photograph along with copies of certificates to The Administrative Officer, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, 2nd Block, Koramangala, Bangalore – 560034 on or before 24th July 2009 superscribing ”Application for Research Trainee”.
