Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Project Associate I (PA I)

Number of positions: 01

Project Name: Mapping and quantitative assessment of plant resources and its distribution in Madhya Pradesh, Central India.

Emoluments (Per month): Rs.31000 + HRA for 1st and 2nd Year, and thereafter Rs.35000 + HRA for 3rd Year as SRF.

Duration: The fellowship will be offered initially for a period of three months, which can be extended further depending
upon performance of the candidate.

Essential qualifications:
Minimum 55% in M.Sc./ M.Tech/ Integrated M.Tech in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Applied Geography & Geoinformatics and relevant subject. Preference may be given to the candidates with research interest & field work as per requirement of the project. Candidate, who are in last semester of their M.Sc./ M.Tech degree may also apply.

Candidates having experience and knowledge in large data handling (satellite data and satellite data products, Census, NSSO, meteorological data etc.), with working knowledge of hyperspectral & microwave remote sensing, R, Python, MATLAB software(s), artificial intelligence, machine learning etc. will be preferred.
