DRDO CEPTAM-11 Official Recruitment Notification 2026

The Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to Senior Technical Assistant 'B' (STA-B, Group 'B' Non-Gazetted) and Technician 'A' (Tech-A, Group 'C') positions across premier defence laboratories in India.

Vacancies & Cadre Breakdown:

Senior Technical Assistant 'B' (STA-B): 1,075 Vacancies across Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Instrumentation, Civil, Physics, and Metallurgy.
Technician 'A' (Tech-A): 845 Vacancies across Fitter, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Machinist, Welder, and Draftsman trades.
Pay Scale: STA-B: Level-6 (₹35,400 - ₹1,12,400) with gross emoluments approximately ₹62,000/month; Tech-A: Level-2 (₹19,900 - ₹63,200) with gross emoluments ~₹34,000/month.

Eligibility & Qualifications:

STA-B: Three-year Diploma in Engineering / Technology or B.Sc in relevant science discipline from a recognized Institution/University with first class.
Tech-A: 10th Standard pass certificate + National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the specified trade from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institute.
Age Limit: 18 to 28 years. Upper age relaxations apply: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD (10 years), and Ex-Servicemen.

Selection Process:

Tier-I (CBT Screening): Quantitative Ability, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science (120 questions, 90 minutes).
Tier-II (CBT Selection for STA-B / Trade Test for Tech-A): Subject-specific technical paper (100 marks) determining final merit. Trade tests are qualifying in nature.
