POWERGRID Engineer Trainee Recruitment Notification 2026

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise and the Central Transmission Utility of India, is recruiting bright, dedicated engineering graduates as Engineer Trainees (ET).

Cadres:

Electrical: 310 Posts (765kV/400kV Substation automation, HVDC converters, smart grid integrations).
Civil: 55 Posts (Transmission tower design, foundations, structural analysis).
Electronics & Telecom: 40 Posts (Optic fiber network, SCADA, tele-protection channels).
Computer Science / IT: 30 Posts (Grid cybersecurity, enterprise ERP, cloud infrastructure, AI predictive grid health).

Compensation Package:

During the one-year training period, candidates receive a basic pay of ₹40,000/- plus IDA, HRA, and perks. On regularisation as Assistant Manager (E-2), pay scale becomes ₹50,000 - ₹1,60,000 with total annual CTC exceeding ₹18 Lakhs per annum.
