Staff Selection Commission - SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Examination 2026
The Staff Selection Commission conducts open competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical) for central departments including Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Military Engineer Services (MES), Border Roads Organization (BRO), Central Water Commission (CWC), and Farakka Barrage Project.
Eligible Engineering Disciplines:
- Civil Engineering: Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
- Electrical Engineering: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with relevant field experience for MES/BRO.
- Mechanical Engineering: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognized institute.
Examination Scheme:
- Paper-I (Computer Based Mode): 200 Marks (General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50, General Awareness: 50, General Engineering: 100).
- Paper-II (Computer Based Technical Examination): 300 Marks testing core domain depth. Negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer in Paper-II.
