CBSE to prepare Class 9 to 12 Question bank

CBSE has decided to prepare a question bank for Classes 9 to 12 and Schools will submit previous year Question papers for CBSE Question bank. With a view to taking up ‘assessment as learning’ in addition to “assessment for learning” and “assessment of learning”, the Board has decided to prepare a highly curated and user-friendly question bank on an IT platform, that will not only be useful for students to enhance their learning process, but also to teachers for incorporating in their pedagogy and assessments. , Schools will Contribute in the development of question banks for classes IX to XII

CBSE requests the following from Schools:

  1. Schools/Groups of schools have been preparing centralised question papers for annual exams of classes 9 and 11, and for internal examinations for classes 10 and 12, for your school/group of schools. Schools/Group of schools are requested to kindly send CBSE the class wise, subject wise and topic wise questions from the question papers of as many past years as available with you, in the format attached with this advisory.
  2. The Questions may be sent for all academic subjects (English, Hindi, Science, Social Science and Mathematics for classes IX and X and; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, English Core and Elective, Hindi Core and Elective, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, History, Political Science, Geography, Psychology,Sociology, Physical Education and Computer Science for classes XI and XII) and skill (vocational) subjects for classes IX to XII for as many past years as available with school/group of schools.
  3. Marking schemes, if any, for the above questions are also required to be sent along with questions.
  4. CBSE would appreciate if schools could also send us the answer copies of each subjects topper, in each of these exams, for use as exemplar answers if available along with the question paper of the examination. To maintain privacy of the child, schools need not send CBSE the details of the student whose exemplar answer copies are being sent.
  5. In addition to the above, if schools have developed any other set of question banks, such as problem-solving assessment, or aptitude tests, etc. that they may like to share with CBSE, the Board will be very happy to accept them.
