Academic Year 2022-23 Guidelines for Registration on National Overseas Scholarship Portal [NOS]

Applicants applying for National Overseas Scholarship need to register on the portal by providing accurate and authenticated information in the "Student Registration Form".
Before Initiating the registration process, students are advised to follow the instructions:

Eligibility Criteria

1. The Applicant belonging to ST should have passed the Graduation/Post-Graduation/Ph.Dexamination for being eligible for the National Overseas Scholarship.

2. The Applicant should get admission for regular and full time Master's/Ph.D/Post Doctoral Courses in accredited University/Institutions in abroad after selection.

3. The candidate age should below 35 years as on 1st day of July-22 for the year 2022-23.

Minimum qualifications

i. For Post-Doctoral: 55% marks or equivalent grade in relevant Master's degree and Ph.D awarded.
ii. For Ph.D: 55% marks or equivalent grade in relevant Master's degree.
iii. For Master's Degree: 55% marks or equivalent grade in relevant Bachelor's degree.

Family Income

Total family income from all sources of the applicant or his/her parents/guardians or spouse should not exceed Rs. 6.00 Lakh per annum.

No of Child and award

Not more than one child of the same parents/guardian will be eligible

An individual can be given the award only once and cannot be considered for the award for a second or subsequent time.

Documents Required

The following documents should be in Digi lockerhttps://www.digilocker.gov.in/ under the section issued document [certificate is issued by issuing authority i.e Aadhar card, Pan Card, 10th Board result]] and uploaded document [the documents which are not in issued document].

1. Profile Photo {size: -50 KB-100 KB} - JPEG file only
2. DoB Certificate [ 10th Passing certificate]- PDF file only
3. Graduation Marksheet /Post-Graduation Marksheet/Ph.D award certificate wherever applicable – PDF file only
4. Conversion factor formulae certificate issued from your university/Institutes [In case of marks are in CGPA/SGPA] -PDF file only
5. ST /PVTG certificate [ Community name should match with drop down list of domicile States/UTs] - PDF file only [Issued & signed not the below rank of Tehsildar]
6. Family Income certificate [Issued & signed not the below rank of Tehsildar]
