Admission to Professional Courses in Karnataka For the year 2017-18

Candidates who have already applied for CET 2017 for admission into professional courses in the state of Karnataka, now have the Opportunity to Edit their online applications. Editing option available till 31st March 2017 up to 5.00 p.m.
Candidates should have their use id and generate the OTP number, the OTP is sent to their registered mobile no.
As per the notification, candidates should make a note of all the entries to be modified and changes to be carried out at once.

CET-2017 – Edit option of Online Application: From 14-Mar-2017 upto 5:00pm on 31-Mar-2017

Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Karnataka including the wards of Jammu & Kashmir Migrants for registration to the Common Entrance Test-2017 to Professional Courses

Total No. of seats: To be notified by the Government in the Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka for the academic year 2017-18

Academic Eligibility: As per Rule (5)
(1) Karnataka Selection of Candidates for admission to Govt. Seats in Professional Educational Institutions, 20106. No Candidate shall be eligible for admission to Govt. seats unless he is a citizen of India and satisfied any one of the eligibility conditions hosted on the KEA website http://kea.kar.nic.in

Common Entrance Test (CET) 2017 for Admission to 1st year Courses:
1. Medical / Dental (MBBS/ BDS): Passed 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent exam with English as one of the languages and obtained min. of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects (Norms prescribed in NEET 2017 and the orders of Govt. is applicable for admission to Medical and Dental courses)

2. Ayurveda, Homoepathy, Unani, Naturopathy and Yoga (ISM & H): Passed 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent exam with English as one of the languages and obtained min. of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects (40% for SC,ST, CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B candidates)

3. Engineering/ Technology (B.E/B.Tech): Passed 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent exam with English as one of the languages and obtained min. of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Electronics/ Computer (40% for SC,ST, CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B candidates)

4. Architecture (B.Arch): Passed 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent exam with Mathematics as compulsory optional subject and obtained min. 50% marks in aggregate in all the subjects (45% for SC,ST, CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B candidates)

5. B.Sc (Agriculture), B.Sc (Forestry), B.Sc (Sericulture), B.Sc (Agri. Biotech), B.Sc (Horticulture), B.Sc (Home Science), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.F.SC (Fisheries Science), B.Tech (Food Science and Tech.), B.Sc (Ag. Marketing and Co-operating), B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering): Passed 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects.

6. Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H): Passed 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent exam obtained 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (40% for SC,ST, CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B candidates)

7. B.Pharm: Passed 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent exam obtained 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology Or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained a min 45% marks of aggregate in above subjects (40% for SC,ST, CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B candidates) OR Passed Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institute approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured min. 45% marks (40% for SC,ST, CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B candidates)

8. 2nd Year B.Pharm: Passed Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institute approved by the Pharmacy Coucil of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured min. 45% marks (40% for SC,ST, CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B candidates)

9. Pharm-D: Passed 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology Or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained a min 45% marks of aggregate in above subjects (40% for SC,ST, CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B candidates) OR Passed Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institute approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act

Steps To Apply for CET 2017:

Step 1 : Enter all details online at the Official CET Website http://kea.kar.nic.in by Selecting “CET-2017 UG Online Application”

Step 2. Upload Scanned copy of recent passport size colour photograph, Signature and Left hand thumb impression in JPG/JPED format separately.

Step 3: Print Challan copy which is in triplicate. In the Challan, the details of candidates will be pre-printed, such as Name, CET Number, College/Course Allotted details, Fee to be paid, Bank Account No. Candidates of Karnataka Origin have to pay an amount of Rs.650/- for General and OBC (Rs.500/- for SC/ST Category-1 of Karnataka candidates only.). Rs.750/- in case of candidates residing outside the state of Karnataka and Rs.5000/- in case of candidates residing outside of India.

Step 4. Take printout of the application form on A-4 Size Paper Obtain Principal seal and signature from the college where you have studied 2nd PUC or 12th Std. on a space provided.
