Official Recruitment Notification: UPSC CSE 2026
The Union Public Service Commission invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other Central Group 'A' and Group 'B' Civil Services.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidate must hold a Graduate Degree from any recognized University in any discipline. Candidates in the final year of graduation are eligible to apply for Prelims.
- Age Limit: 21 to 32 years as of August 1st. Age relaxations: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD (10 years).
- Number of Attempts: General (6 attempts), OBC (9 attempts), SC/ST (Unlimited within age limit).
Selection Process:
- Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination: Objective Type (GS Paper I & CSAT Paper II qualifying at 33%).
- Civil Services (Main) Examination: Written Examination (9 descriptive papers).
- Personality Test / Interview: Conducted at Dholpur House, New Delhi (275 Marks).
