Special Incentive To Minority Students Who Are Pursuing B Ed & D Ed Courses

Special incentives of Rs.25,000/-(incentive will be provided for 2 years i.e Maximum Amount of Rs 50000/- for full course period) to Students pursuing higher education in B.Ed.& D.Ed courses in Government/ Para-Government and Private Colleges and belonging to Minority Communities such as Muslim, Christian, Jain, Sikh, Buddhist and Parsi students Special promotion is mandated to provide each year (maximum 2 years) Minority Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka

Eligibility Conditions

Students should be a domicile of the state of Karnataka. (Non-Karnataka Minority students are not eligible even though they are pursuing higher education in Institutes located within Karnataka. However, Karnataka domiciled Minority Students pursuing higher education in any of the Institutions Accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education and the Department of State Educational Research and Training (DSERT-Karnataka), located anywhere are eligible).

Only the Candidate who are pursuing B.Ed. or D.Ed. the course as full time or on a regular basis are eligible to apply, Correspondence/Distance Education/Part Time B.Ed or D.Ed. students are not eligible to apply for this scheme.

Students Annual Family Income Should not exceed Rs.6 Lakh.

Only those students whose B.Ed. & D.Ed. Courses are Accredited by National Council for Teacher Education & the Department of State Educational
Research and Training Respectively are eligible.

Students should have scored a minimum of 50% of marks in previous examinations to avail of the incentive.

The candidate should not be a State/Central Government Employee or full-time employee in a private organisation.

Students should belong to Minority communities ( Such as Muslim/Christian/Sikh/Buddhist/Jain/Parsi)

Based on the duration of the course period each year (Maximum for 2 Years) amount will be sanctioned.

Students must have cleared all previous examinations without any backlogs & are selected based on merit i.e, marks scored in previous exams.

Students should submit all the official documents related to admission for the B.Ed. & D.Ed. Course & fee paid Receipts of the college.

Other Details

Students should submit separate application forms for every year (Maximum for 2 years) to avail the incentive amount of each year separately.
50% of the applicants for this scheme are reserved for girls & 25% for D.Ed Course and 75% for B.Ed. Course students.
If any of the information or documents/income & caste certificates submitted by the students are found to be false at any stage then strict action shall be taken against the applicant.

      This is the for the candidates who had applied last year, for new fresh candidates still applications have not started.
